Mark Shapiro, M.D.

Mark T. Shapiro, M.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Shapiro received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1970. He completed his internship at Passavant Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and did his residency training in ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Shapiro served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1973 as a Flight Surgeon.

Dr. Shapiro is an active medical staff member at Moses Cone Hospital System and the HealthSouth Surgical Center in Greensboro. He holds a courtesy staff position at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Member of The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He has performed over 15,000 cataract surgeries and vision correction procedures.
